FAQ

Our new parent FAQ is located here.

All of our pack operations are managed through Scoutbook.  Once you are a member of the pack you will be added to Scoutbook and get access to our calendaring, messaging, and advancement tracking tool.

All About Cub Scouts

Learn all about Cub Scouts: https://www.scouting.org/programs/cub-scouts/

All About the Uniform

Uniform info - https://www.scouting.org/programs/cub-scouts/uniform/cubscout/

Our recommendation is that you visit the Scout Store at the Atlanta Area Council, and someone there will walk you through all that is needed.  You may also use http://www.scoutstuff.org for online shopping.

Here at Pack 175 we focus on your Scout having the following minimum uniform elements:

  • Uniform Shirt
  • Neckerchief and Slide (per den)
  • Hat (per den)
  • Belt (generic BSA buckle recommended)
  • Handbook (per den)

Shorts, pants, socks, etc. are also available, but are not necessary.  Any decent navy blue shorts will suffice.

Note that we have a decently healthy "swap and shop" program where our parents donate den-specific neckerchiefs, slides, and hats as they move up year over year.  Ask your den leader if there are any items available and you might get these for free!

Information regarding the placement of patches, insignia, and other recognition can be found here.

All About Camping

We hold an annual pack camping trip in October at our very own Camp 175 on the shores of Lake Allatoona.  We also encourage each Den to hold an additional camping trip at some point during the year (location of their choosing).

All About Paperwork

Each Scout must complete a BSA Youth application at the beginning of the year.  We require all leaders (Den Leaders, Committee Leads, Management, etc.) to complete a BSA Adult application.  All parents and guardians are encouraged to spend 20 minutes and take Youth Protection Training.

All About Dues

Our preferred method is that you can pay dues, trip fees, etc. using PayPal.  Our PayPal ID is pack175treasurer@gmail.com.   Optionally you can pay with check in person at a den or pack meeting (checks made out to Pack 175).

Dues are required prior to our October camping trip.  For PayPal please use the "friends and family" option to avoid processing fees (linking to your bank account).

If you wish to use your credit card through PayPal, then please send an additional $5 in order to cover the associated fees.
